Ingredients:
- 1 cup salted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ⅓ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy—about 2–3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then mix in vanilla until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in milk to slightly loosen the dough, then fold in dark chocolate chips.
- Using a scoop or your hands, form dough into golf ball–sized rounds and place on your prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 11–12 minutes—cookies will look set at the edges but slightly soft in the center.
- Let them rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
