Total time:
3 hours
Servings:
2 loaves
Ingredients:
- 1 package or 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 3/4 cup whole milk, lukewarm
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3-5 oz crumbled blue cheese
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped white onion
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon dill weed
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a stand mixer, combine the yeast, warm water, lukewarm milk, and sugar. Mix until the yeast is dissolved.
- In a small pan, combine the crumbled blue cheese, chopped onion, and butter. Cook over low heat until the butter melts and the cheese begins to soften. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Add the cooled cheese mixture, salt, dill weed, parsley, and flour to the yeast mixture in the stand mixer. Beat until well combined and the dough is smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Stir down the dough and transfer it to a well-greased loaf pan or baking tray. Let it rise again in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30-45 minutes.
- Bake on the lowest rack in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread turns golden brown.
